A New Year is tinged with both sadness and hope
It's been 29 years since Mum passed and yet still some years I mope
I wondered for my Photo of the Day what will I post
and Fuschia's remind me of Mum the most
Popping them is like popping bubble wrap
and when Mum caught me she sometimes did snap
And now we have them growing because they are lovely
and also a small part of her memory
Love you and miss you Mum

Irene, this is kinda fun because fuchsia is also the plan that reminds me of my wonderful and missed mother. The problem is that I can have them a short while during the summer and then they die. Think if I could move to NZ and open a photostudio there, I could have all those wonderful plants.
ReplyDeleteYou could have any plant you wanted to Cornelia!! It is amazing though the difference between what can be grown in Auckland, and how it grows here in Hamilton - such a short distance but it makes a big difference because of climate!!
