This morning a rare substance fell from the sky
It was wet and soft and from it we did not shy
Then we remembered it was something called rain
but I certainly had to rack my brain
Unfortunately it did not last
our lawn and garden did not receive a blast
so it looks like this drought is set to carry on
and days like this we can only dwell upon
