This is a beautiful photograph. It reminds me of the Udvar-Hazy Center I visited today. It featured some retired aircrafts including the Blackbird, the space shuttle Discovery and a Concorde from Air France. W in Alexandria, Va.,
I was not able to touch these air vehicles because they were cordoned off. However, I was able to see them from within feet of their positions. I was very impressed with these air vehicles and the engineering that went into the. The space shuttle, Discovery, is very large. The day it was piggy backed on a 747 and flown to Dulles International Airport in Chantilly, Va., I had a meeting in Alexandria City. I could not have delayed the meeting to watch the spectacle of this display as it flew over Alexandria and Washington before flying 30 miles west to Dulles Airport. The museum is located at the end of Dulles Airport. I occasionally helped Fairfax County a few miles from Dulles Airport and frequently witnessed planes arriving and departing. I am happy I made the time to go to the museum wich is free but with a $15 charge for parking. I am happy you enjoyed the museum. With warmest regards, W in Alexandria, Va USA

I just googled the Udvar-Hazy Center and it looks amazing W. Are you able to go onboard the retired aircraft or just see them from the outside??
