June 8th. Frolics in Fremantle Part Three

George went fishing today - his first time out Kayak Fishing. He was invited out by a work associate. So what is a girl to do when her man is of fulfilling his fishing dreams bucket list? Raewyn and I went to check out the Sunday Markets at Fremantle, followed by indulging in the famous Spinach Stuffed Prawns at Joe's Fish Shack

June 7th. Wine, Reptiles, A Coastline & A Very, Very Long Jetty

Time to head back to Perth. But not without one more winery visit

On our way home we stopped at Busselton a Jetty. This jetty is the longest in the Southern Hemisphere at 1.8 kilometers in length. You can not go to Busselton without walking the entire jetty, which we did

June 6th. The Very Bottom Of WA

Today we drove down to the very bottom of Western Australia to the coastal town of Augusta, where the Indian Ocean meets the Southern Ocean.  

For our last night in the Margaret River Region, we dined at Muster. But of course not before taking some dusk shots for our final sunset in Gracetown

June 5th. Brekkie, Vines and Beach

Today was full on exploring. We started off with a lovely Brekkie at the quirky Margaret River Bakery. Beautiful food in a funky, eclectic location. Bone China, crystal and quirky art and furniture. I loved it and the Brekkie and coffee were the best

After a few hics and the benefit of a sober driver, time to head home to Gracetown via Bells Beach - the site of all WA surf competitions

June 4th Hello Gracetown

Our destination was a cottage booked in the small village of Gracetown. 300kms from Perth, bordering the Indian Ocean, with approximately 130 houses and one store and one street light. Definitely my kind of place. On the drive down we had to have a rest stop ( this aging bladder can only go so far).  Raewyn remembered me reminiscing about Chiko Rolls and guess what I got

Quince Cottage was homely and lovely (thanks airbnb.com). With a G & T it was lovely to watch the sunset on the Indian Ocean

Time to retire inside in front of a warm, hearty fire and ready to face new sights in the morning

June 3rd. Fremantle Frolics

Back to Fremantle again. Raewyn had a hair appointment down/up there and we couldn't resist the opportunity to explore this lovely city again. Coffee at the famous Gino's, lunch at The Monk Brewery (Garlic Prawns to live for!), Ginger and Apple Cider for me to sup on and George was most impressed by the tasting 'plate' of the brews produced on site - all wrapped up in a lovely location.
